Sometimes you will see some hitches while using the imessage to send a message to someone.
This includes the question of the day.
Why you can’t send imessage to one person?
This may be caused by the recipient not having the imessage on it’s mobile phone, the imessage being unavailable, or the recipient has blocked you on the imessage.
There are several reasons why imessage not delivered to one person, and I will discuss them on the post because it is very much important especially if you’re new on iphone.
Can’t send imessage to one person? Here’s why
The major reason for not being able to send an imessage to one person is usually caused by the absence of the imessage on the recipient phone, the imessage not being available, or you’re blocked by the recipient.
Now is to explain the reasons one after the the other.
1. Absence of the imessage on the recipient phone
The first thing you should know is that imessage works with another imessage, when the imessage is disabled or not available on the recipient phone, don’t expect to send a message to the recipient through the imessage.
In most cases the message will be sent as a text message.
The absence of the Imessage includes sending a message to an android phone.
Some newbies usually think they can send an imessage to an android phone or a feature phone, but that isn’t going to work because android phone doesn’t have the ios imessage.
If you send an imessage to an android phone, it will be sent as text message and not as an imessage.
Remember, sending as a text message requires the cellular network and which attracts charges from the network.
The second aspect in this category is when a recipient disable the imessage on it’s iPhone, ipad or the ipod.
If maybe you know that the recipient has an iphone and so therefore the imessage should go through but it didn’t, it may be that the recipient disabled the imessage on it’s iPhone, ipad or the ipod.
The absence of the imessage on the recipient phone is the number one reason why you can’t send imessage to one person on your iPhone or iPad.

As you can’t send imessage to one person or the imessage not delivering to one person may be caused by the imessage not being available on the recipient phone.
Not being available is quite different from not existing.
In this aspect of the imessage not being available may be that the recipient has no internet on it’s iPhone or iPad.
In case you don’t know, imessage cannot work without internet connection and which includes the Wi-Fi or the cellular data.
You may send an imessage to a recipient and that very moment the recipient switched off the Wi-Fi or data on its device, the imessage will never be delivered until the recipient turns on internet connection on it’s device.
This is another mmajor reason why you can’t send imessage to one person on your contact.
3. Can’t send imessage to one person: You may have been blocked
This is one of the reasons which you wouldn’t want it to be the case, the recipient blocking your number on it’s iPhone.
This is a very strong reason on why imessage not delivered to one person.
If someone blocks you on it’s iPhone, you cannot send an imessage to the person.
Also you cannot send a text message to the person as well, and this makes it a strong indication that the recipient has blocked your number or contact on it’s iPhone or iPad.
You can’t tell until you verify that indeed this person has blocked me on it’s ios device.
If iMessage not working for one contact and you’re sure the person is not using an android phone or a feature phone and has an imessage, kindly use another means to contact the person.
First, use the cellular network to call the person’s number. If it didn’t go through, then you have to try another means and that is using the instant messaging apps to contact the person.
If the person has a whatsapp account, Skype, telegram, Facebook messenger, try to contact the person through any of these apps.
If still it didn’t go through, then you have to use a phone number unknown to the person in contacting the person.
If this time it goes through, be rest assured that the recipient has blocked you from contacting it’s number or imessage.
If again it didn’t go through after using a number unknown to the recipient, then it means the recipient account no longer exist or something is wrong somewhere.
These are the major reasons why you can’t send imessage to one person that I know.
As long as you are able to send a message to other contacts on your iMessage, then it means the problem is not from your iMessage or your iPhone or iPad, but rather from the recipient.
