This means the number you’re trying to send a text message or call is not available and this may be due to the fact that the network provider has blocked the phone number.

This type of error message usually comes up when sending a text message to a phone number that is not available due to some reasons.

All the reasons I will explain in this article.

Poor network reception might prompt such error message while trying to send a text message or call someone. If the recipient is within a location or an environment where there is a poor network coverage, it can lead to this number is no longer in service text message.

These are the major causes of this error message while trying to reach someone via text messages or calls.

What is the solution to this?

It’s so simple.

By using an instant messaging apps

You have to use any of the instant messaging apps through Wi-Fi to contact the person and check if it will go through. The instant messaging apps I recommend includes whatsapp, Skype sms feature and the google voice.

For sending a text message, kindly use google voice or Skype sms to send a text message. For calls I recommend any of Skype, whatsapp, or the google voice.

But I will advise you to use the google voice as it will assign a number immediately you created your account, and you can call anybody with the number. That is to say the person must not be on google voice in order to receive your calls or text messages.

This is where Google voice bears the likes of whatsapp, Skype, Facebook messenger, telegram, the imessage hands down.

For ios users, you can use the imessage if the recipient is another ios user.

Is there a way to text a number that blocked you?

To text a number that blocked you, you simply have to use another phone number to text the person, or use instant messaging to send a message to the number.

In this type of situation, I recommend you to use google voice as it will assign a phone number to you. Since you still have the number of the person that blocked you on it’s mobile phone, you will use the google voice to call or send a text message to the person.

The best part is that the person must not have or use the google voice in order to receive your text messages or calls.

So all you need to do is to download and install the Google voice app on your mobile phone, sign up and receive your phone number, and you’re good to go.

With the google voice, you can send a text message to a number that blocked you, but rest assured that the person might also block your google voice assigned number unless you will be creating multiple Google voice accounts.

How do you tell if someone blocked your number without texting them?

Without texting the number, you have to call the number to verify if truly the person has blocked your number. The only options to know if you have been blocked by a user is through texting or calling the number. 

If you don’t want to text the person or the number, then you don’t have any other questions option than to call the number.

Upon calling the number and it didn’t go through, after multiple trials then be rest assured that the recipient has truly blocked your number.

The number you have messaged is not connected

This happens if the number has been disconnected by the network service provider or the number is no longer in service.
