Why does it say sent as text message?
It says sent as text message because the message was sent as sms and this is usually caused when the imessage is not available or active in both the sender iphone, and the recipient phone.
There are reasons why the imessage is not available, and why you are having sent as text message after sending a message on your iPhone, they include the followings;
1. The recipient is an android user
This is one of the major reason why you imessage is sent as text message, the recipient is an android user.
First, I want you to know that imessage only work on ios device like the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac. If you are trying to send an imessage to a platform other than ios, the message will be sent as sms text message.
I’ve seen some quite number of persons trying to send an imessage to an android phone user, I’m telling you that it will never work and instead the message will be sent as sms text message.
2. Imessage is disabled
Trying to find out why does it say sent as text message after sending a message to another iphone user, it is because the recipient disabled the imessage on it’s iPhone.
I see lots of comments on why sending iMessages to an iPhone will be sent as sms text message.
This is because imessage is not available or active on the recipient iphone because for imessage to be sent and received, imessage must be enabled and active on both the sender’s iphone and the recipient iphone.
So please bear in mind that if you send an imessage to another iphone user and it was sent as sms text message, it is likely that imessage is not available and active on the recipient iphone.
3. No internet available
This is another major reason why it say sent as text message after you tried to send an imessage to a contact on your iPhone, you don’t have an active internet connection.
As imessage requires internet to send and receive iMessages, if you don’t have an active internet connection on your iPhone the imessage will be sent as a sms text message.
All these answers the question of why does it say sent as text message.
