This makes me to restrict the Facebook app and it’s messenger from running in the background until I open them.

There are occasions the Wi-Fi or the cellular will be so strong or high to the extent it start to heats up the phone.
I started to experience this since the 4G LTE came out, and then the 5G network as well.
In most cases when I’m charging my iphone, I normally turn off the Wi-Fi or cellular data in order to prevent the iPhone from heating up, and make it to charge faster.

Where the problem lies is using the iPhone to play online games while charging it.
If you love playing games on your iPhone or any other mobile phone, you will noticed that online or high graphics games heats up the phone especially online games.
I’m saying this based on my experience playing high graphics online games.
Under fifteen minutes the iPhone will heats up to the entext you may think the iPhone will explode.
This was my experience playing pubg on my iPhone xs max.
At this moment the worst thing you will do is to charging the phone at same time. The phone will charge at a very slow speed rate, or the battery percentage decreases while it is charging.
