First, you need to download the Gmail application for android or ios and install it on your smartphone. Use the link to download and install the Gmail mobile app.
Having downloaded and installed the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android, open the app and get started with how to attach an email in Gmail.
On the Gmail app, locate the email which you want to attach and tap to open the email. Having opened the email, tap on the three vertical dots like in the picture below.
Taping on the three dots brings out options for the email, since we’re only interested in how to attach an email in Gmail, you’ll tap on where it states print.
It will give you the option to print the email into a pdf file and just like the picture below.
Make the necessary changes if you want to, and finally tap on the yellow button that states pdf.
The next window is to save the pdf file to your smartphone internal storage or external SD card, and Google drive.
Select your preferred option and save the pdf file. Bear in mind that we will be using the saved pdf file for this tutorial on how to attach an email in Gmail.
Having saved the email as a pdf file, go to your Gmail app again, and tap on the pen-like icon for a new email.

2. Using the computer or browser
Another method to attach an email in Gmail is using the browser or probably the computer, and this works on both Windows, Mac, etc.
You can as well set your mobile browser to desktop mode and Gmail will definitely look like it is on the desktop or computer.
On your computer, enter gmail.com and locate the email you want to attach. Tap to open the email and you’ll see a print icon located beside the title of the email.
Tap on the print icon and it will take you to your pdf page. Just like how to attach an email in Gmail app, make the necessary changes if you want to, and tap on the download pdf icon.
Save the pdf file on your computer.
Go back to the email and create a new email by tapping on the picture like below.
Similar to how to attach an email in Gmail app, enter the recipient’s email address and the subject, followed by the body of the message.
Look below and you’ll see options given to you, and since we’re interested in how to attach an email in Gmail using the mobile app or the computer, tap on the attach button.
Lastly, click on the Send button to send the email, and you’ll see the attached email file below the body of the sent email.

How to attach a file to an email in Gmail
This works similar to how to attach an email in Gmail, as it involves clicking on the attachment button and sending the file.
To attach a file to an email in Gmail, open the Gmail app or on a browser. Login to your Gmail account and click on the create new email button.
To attach a file to an email in Gmail, click on the attach 📎 button and locate the file you want to attach. You can as well enter messages and the subject of the email, and after that click on the send button.
This will successfully send the attached file to the recipient.
Note the maximum file size you can send through the Gmail app or browser is 25MB. To exceed this file size, you can only attach and send the file to your google drive or iCloud.
After sending the file to your google drive or any other file storage, copy the file URL and attach it to the email you want to send.
It is left for the recipient to go through the link and download the file through Google drive or other file storage.
Still, on how to attach an email in Gmail, there’s another file to send a large file or attachment through Gmail. The app is called Filemail App and applicable to android.
You can send 4GB of file through the filemail app for android and it wouldn’t fail to deliver.
I’ve used the app a couple of times to send some large videos and games to someone and everything went very smoothly. This is pretty much cool on how to attach an email in Gmail.
The Filemail App doesn’t require a particular email address like the Gmail account but works with all types of email addresses.

How to send an attachment in Gmail?
Going to Gmail and login into your Gmail account. Tap on create a new email and enter the recipient email address, subject, and the body of the email.

Go through it to make sure that all is correct and tap on the send button. The email including the attached file will be sent to the recipient.
How to attach multiple emails in Gmail?
This is the same as how to attach an email in Gmail, though this states multiple emails. The truth is that the process is the same and no much difference at all.
Both on the Gmail mobile app for android and iPhone or using the computer, log in to your Gmail account.
Follow the process I stated above, and this time you’ll have to print all the emails you want to attach in pdf file format.
Save them to your device storage or Google drive or maybe any other file storage. Go back to your Gmail account and create a new email.
Enter the recipient’s email address, subject, and the body of the email. Just like the tutorial above on how to attach an email in Gmail, click on the attachment 📎 button, and select the file.
Note you’ll do this depending on the number of emails you have to attach to Gmail, finally click on the Send button to send the email along with the attached emails.

Compress the file, that’s the simple answer.

How do I send a zip file through Gmail?
You can send a zip file through Gmail using the attachment button, it works on all types of file formats including mp3 and mp4 files, and as long as the file size is less than 25MB.
Simply tap on the attachment button, locate and tap on the zip file you want to send. It will appear on the email and you can tap on the send button.
Let me repeat again, it must not be more than 25MB and if it does, use the Google drive or the Filemail mobile app to send up to 4GB file size through your Gmail account.
