No you can never see if a person you blocked tried to text you simply because when you block a contact on your mobile phone texts from that very person will never go through or try getting delivered to your phone.
It’s so hilarious blocking someone and same time trying to know if at all can you see if a blocked number has tried to text you.

MY TEST RESEARCH
Before I came up with this article I did a test to see if at all I will see that the number I blocked will try to send a text to me. So I had to block one of my numbers which I had the contact in my other phone.
I now used the number that I blocked to send a text message to my main line(number) and lo and behold the message was sent but it never get delivered to my phone or to my main line.
I never received the text message or seen if the blocked number has tried to text my main line.
The text message showed sent in my second phone and that was it. It never showed delivered because I didn’t receive the sent text message or a notification that my other line that I blocked tried to text me.
I did this test both on my android phone and iPhone and I couldn’t see if a blocked number has tried to text me or to my other number.

Understanding blocking a number
If you happen to block a number or a contact on your mobile phone, you shouldn’t be asking can you see if a blocked number has tried to text you cause probably you don’t care about the person or give a damn about the person.
Blocking someone simply means restricting the means of someone reaching you or calling your number.
So why would you care if the person tried to text you?
The truth is that when you block someone the person will know especially after a couple of sent text messages failed to deliver to you being the recipient.
Once you have blocked a number that’s it. Text messages from that number will never get to your line or try to get to your line instead it will fail to deliver.
If the sender is using an iphone, the sender will see failed below the sent text message or even the imessage.

Where do Blocked messages go?
Blocked messages don’t go anywhere in the phone or the network because the message will never be sent or try to get delivered to the recipient phone.
The blocked messages will remain in the sender’s phone as it will appear as a failed sent message whether it is an android phone or the iPhone.
Do blocked messages get delivered when unblocked?
Never, blocked text messages will never get delivered when unblocked unless the sender will have to resend the text message for it to get delivered to the recipient.
Once someone you blocked tried to send a message to you, the message will fail immediately. Even if you go ahead to unblock the person, the sent message won’t be delivered to you until the sender resend the message to you.
Before going ahead to block someone please be very much sure that truly you want to block that number or contact from contacting you or sending text messages to you.
Do your texts turn green when someone blocks you?
On iphone messages won’t turn green if you are blocked by the recipient, instead the texts will fail to get delivered. When messages turn to green on iphone is when the message was sent as sms text message which uses the cellular network service.
Please kindly note that green messages on iphone simply means sms text messages which requires a sim card and cellular network service.
When you send a message on iphone and it turns green then it is means the recipient isn’t using an iPhone or ios device or the imessage is disabled or not available. While blue messages means that the message was sent as an imessage which requires internet connection like Wi-Fi or data.
Can you retrieve blocked messages?
You cannot retrieve blocked messages because the messages never went through or try getting delivered to your phone. You can only retrieve messages that was delivered to your phone which by mistake you deleted them.
How to see if a blocked number texted you
There’s no way to see a blocked number texted to you because text messages from the blocked number will never get your line or to your phone.
