Call logs will remain intact and won’t be removed especially if you have the contacts saved in your email account or your mobile phone.
Where the problem of losing the call logs is whereby contacts are saved in the sim card and the sim card was removed.
In this scenario, you won’t see the call log though this differ from phone to phone. First, I tried it on a samsung phone and lo and behold some the call logs disappeared.
When i tried the same on a xiaomi phone, the call log remained intact and some of the logs were only showing a mobile phone number instead of the names used in saving the contact.
The reason why this happened was because the contacts no longer exist in the phone immediately the sim card was removed from the phone.
This also was the case on iphones and I came to the conclusion.
