For android users, there are lots of voice recorder on the Google play store. Head over to the Google play store and download any good quality voice recorder you see in the play store.

After you’re done with the voice recording, save it and let’s proceed on how to send a voice recording through email.
1. For Google Gmail
First, you must have a Google account or a Gmail account. If you don’t have a Gmail account you should endeavor to do else you can’t use the Gmail.
It wouldn’t take you more than three minutes and you’re done with the account creation.
To create account with Gmail, simply go through this page and proceed with the account creation. If you don’t want to verify your Gmail account using a phone number, you’ll have to use the mobile app and it will bypass the phone number verification.
After you’re done creating your Gmail account, login to your email account and then proceed on how to send a voice recording through email.
For this tutorial I will be using both the Gmail app and web browser.
To get started with how to send a voice recording through email using the Gmail mobile app, kindly download if you don’t have it on your phone and launch the application.
Login to your Gmail account and look closely below the lower corner on your screen, you’ll see where it states compose with a pen like beside it.
Go ahead and tap on the compose icon.
The next on the screen is where you’ve to enter you message, which includes the recipient email address and also the voice recording. You need to pay a close attention cause this is where it concerns you on how to send a voice recording through email.
Enter everything you need to enter and tap on the attachment icon 📎 like it is on the picture below.
As you tapped on the attachment icon, it will display two options for you. They are;
- Attach file
- Insert from drive
You know the location where you saved the voice recording, and normally that will be on your internal storage or SD card unless you uploaded it to your drive like the one drive, Google drive, etc.
So select the actual location and scroll down to locate the exact location where you saved the voice recording. Having seen it, tap to select it and it will be added to the message box.
You’ll see it below the body of the message and finally tap on the send icon to send the voice recording to the recipient.
So this is how to send a voice recording through email using the Gmail mobile app. As you can see, it is so easy and no stress at all.
USING THE WEB BROWSER
On your computer or browser, go to Gmail and login into your account using your Gmail account details like the username and password.
On the top left corner of your screen, you’ll see where it states Compose tap on it to compose a new message.
Where you see to, enter the recipient email address and subject of the message. You can enter a message on the message body if you chose to, but since you’re looking for how to send a voice recording through email, you can neglect that.
Now look below, there are list of options offered to you which includes the option to attach a file to the email. So you have to tap on that attachment icon below the screen.
Tap on the attachment file icon and locate where you saved the voice recording on your computer and tap on the file. Immediately it will be added to the body of the message (below the body of the message).
Finally tap on the send button to send the voice recording to the recipient.
So this is how to send a voice recording through email using the Google Gmail account, and note that the maximum file size to send using Gmail is 25MB and it won’t exceed that.
2. How to send a voice recording through email using Yahoo mail
One of the popular email account is the Yahoo, back then it was the best form of email address anyone can have. Still it is pretty much okay to use.
I’m using the Yahoo mail for this tutorial on how to send a voice recording through email, and I’m starting with the mobile app.
The Yahoo mail app is available on both Apple store and Google play store, so head over there and download for your mobile phone.
After downloading the Yahoo mail app, open the application to get started. If you don’t have a Yahoo account, you can create one or add your email account to the Yahoo mail app.
Don’t be confused, that’s very much possible.
You can add Gmail account, Office 365, AOL, etc to the Yahoo mail account.
To do that you have to tap on add another mailbox and you can add any other email account on your Yahoo mail app.
This is not what we’re here for, our main focus is how to send a voice recording through email. So kindly create a Yahoo mail account if you don’t have one and if you do login into your account.
On the top of your screen is the option to compose a new message on the yahoo mail mobile app.
Tap to open a new message.
Enter the recipient email address, subject of the message and the message body. Again, as we focus on how to send a voice recording through email, you can skip the message body and move onto the next step, and which is adding the recorded voice to the message.
Below the body of the message is list of options for you, and which includes folder file option.
Tap on that icon and tap on the folder icon to go to where you saved the voice recording. Locate the file and tap on it, grant permission and it will be added to the message box.
One thing I like about the Yahoo mail app is that once you’ve added an attachment to your account, it stores it in your account. You can access it and use it again and again.
To access all your file attachments on Yahoo mail, beside inbox tap on the icon that states attachments and swipe from left to see all the files uploaded to your account.
For example, as you uploaded a voice recording, swipe to audio and you’ll see the attachment.

How to send a voice recording through email on iPhone?
This tutorial is both applied to ios and android, as well windows users. As long as you have a Gmail account or yahoo account, you’re good to go. Other email accounts like the office 365 offers the best opportunity to send a file or a voice recording cause if offers up to 150mb maximum file size.
If you upgrade your account, you can have up to 250mb maximum file size.
