If you are using a limited data plan, before subscribing you will first try to attain the particular data plan that will suite your need depending on how you use the internet.
Talking about what we have here today, Is 100GB data enough for a month?
I will go ahead and say that 100GB data is pretty much enough for month even if you frequently use the internet on your mobile phone and computer.
If you don’t do too much task on the internet and you are the only one using the 100GB data plan, it should be enough for you.
Talking about is 100GB data enough for a month, there are certain things that comes into play, certain things that you should ask yourself as it will help you to to find out if at all 100GB data is adequately enough for you.
The questions are;
- How often do you use the internet
- Are you an uploader
- Are you into gaming
- Is the 100GB data being used by you or your entire household.
These are the major factors that determines if 100GB will be enough for you.
I must tell you that 100GB data is very large especially for someone who uses the internet for just browsing and streaming YouTube, Netflix, etc online.
Now let’s head over to the factors that determine the date plan that will suite your need.
1. Is the 100GB data being used by you or your entire household?
If this 100GB data plan is for everyone in the family and you’re a family of five or more than five, 100GB data plan may not necessarily be adequate enough especially if everyone in the family uses internet a lot.
This involves streaming videos online, watching YouTube videos and Netflix, downloading games very often and always playing online games.
Nothing sucks data other online videos like watching YouTube videos and Netflix, downloading games and apps very often and always playing online games. If these things happen very constant, I’m telling you that 100GB may not be adequate for a family of five or six.
2. Are you into uploading of files
This is major concern when it comes to the data plan you should go for, and honestly I will recommend unlimited data plan if you are into uploading of files on the internet.
You don’t even need to ask if at all is 100GB data enough for a month cause you may likely exceed the bandwidth especially when it comes into uploading of large files.
Most people that I know that are into uploading of files be it game files, apps, videos, etc all go for unlimited data as it way better compared to limited or capped data plan. So if your network service provider has an unlimited data plan and you are into uploading of files on the internet, I recommend you to go for the unlimited data plan.
3. Are you into gaming
If you are into gaming and makes money playing online gaming and same time streaming the games, 100GB data may not be enough for you in a single month though it depends on the number of games you do play per month.
If you don’t spend a good 12hrs playing online games and same time streaming the games, 100GB data plan is very much enough for you based on my experience.
4. Streaming videos online
When talking about is 100GB data enough for a month and you stream videos so much, you shouldn’t worry if 100GB will be enough for you cause it should.
I do stream a lot, ranging from YouTube, Netflix, plus watching movies online and I end up consuming 45GB data per month. Maybe is because I don’t stream for a long number of hours but 100GB should be very much okay for you.
5. You download a lot
Downloading of files consumes data just like uploading of files, and if you are the type that download a lot, the truth is 100GB data may not be enough for you based on my experience.
For example, if you are into downloading of pirated movies online which can consume 8GB of your data, if you multiply it by 20 movies you will see that 100GB won’t be enough for you. In this situation unlimited data is the best plan as you can download tons of files, videos, movies the way you like.
These are the major things that determine if at all us 100 GB data enough for a month. However, if you merely use the internet for the sole purpose of browsing, watching YouTube videos and Netflix few hours in a day, 100GB is very much okay for you.
Is 100 gb a lot?
100GB data plan as it will take a lot of internet activity to finish up a 100GB data, and one might not even finish it in a given month unless for internet addict.
However, 100GB data plan may not be a lot for uploaders and downloaders as these two consumes lots of data.
Also if talking about is 100 gb a lot in terms of storage, I will say 100gb is quite okay unless you video a lot using your mobile phone. The like of Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, iPhone 13 pro max produces large file size for a single video shot.
How many GB is normal per month?
This depends on one’s internet usage as some users a 5gb data plan will be very much okay for them, while some will require 200GB data plan or unlimited data plan in a month.
To know how many GB is normal per month depends on how you use the internet and what you do on the internet. If what you do consumes lot of data or bandwidth, then you need to go for a high data plan or preferably unlimited data plan if available.
How long will 100 GB of data last?
How long will 100 GB of data last is determined by one’s internet usage. Some 100GB data plan will last for more than a month, while some it will barely go for three weeks and they have already finished the whole data.
The more you use the internet the more data it will consume, the less you use the internet the less data it will consume.
However, uploading, downloading, streaming of videos consumes lots of data. Someone who does these three things will end up consuming a 100GB data plan under three weeks, while someone who only browse the internet, watch YouTube videos few hours, chat, will have a 100GB data last more than two months.
So asking how long will 100 GB of data last depends on one’s internet usage.
Generally, 100GB will be very much enough for a single person and someone who doesn’t perform too much task on the internet. And with this I drraw the curtain on the question of the day, is 100GB data enough for a month.
