Start by opening the settings app on your mobile phone, and scroll down to device care. This is for samsung phone but for other phones you should scroll down to battery.
Tap on the device care and select battery by tapping on it.
Next is to tap on app power management and right there you will see put unused apps to sleep. By default Samsung will turn on this feature but if it is not activated, then you will have to do that right away.
So kindly slide the toggle to turn the sleeping apps feature on your android phone.

After selecting all the apps, tap on the add button below your screen and it will add the apps to sleep mode. Remember, you have prevented the apps from running in your phone backup and they cannot send notifications on your phone.

Open the settings app and scroll down to device care, tap to open and also tap on battery. Tap on app power management followed by tapping on sleeping apps.
Now to remove an app or apps from sleeping app feature, press hold on a particular app and select the others. Once you have done that, you will see the remove button below your screen just like on the picture below.
Tap on the remove button and it will remove the apps from sleeping mode. Afterwards you will start to receive notifications and messages from these apps as they will start to run in the phone background.
You can remove apps from sleeping apps by simply opening the apps on your mobile phone, and it will automatically be removed from the sleeping apps options.
