Being your very first time you will try to know the meaning of the term and what it is trying to notify you. However, by mere looking at it you should understand what received by the delivery company means on your tracking number.
But the truth is that there’s a lot involved and it doesn’t necessarily mean what you have in mind. Having been shopping on aliexpress for the past five years I will explain what the shipping term means on aliexpress or any other online stores.
What does received by the delivery company mean?
Received by the delivery company means that an item has been sent out to the delivery company which will in turn deliver the item to the recipient or the final destination.
At first when you see the term on your tracking number you will get excited thinking that your item will soon be delivered to you. But I’m telling you that it isn’t the case from my experience.
If you are using aliexpress standard shipping for your shipping method, you may not come across this shipping term or received by the delivery company, but when you use Cainiao super economy you will definitely see it on your tracking information.
From my observation it is a generic term or I will say the tracking information is not accurate at all but very deceitful and usually appear when using aliexpress app to track your order.
The truth is, if you happen to see received by the delivery company on aliexpress tracking number, you should be calm cause your item is still with the custom or probably will take up to three weeks to one month to reach your final destination.
In general, what I’m trying to say is that received by the delivery company on aliexpress tracking information is a big fallacy but rather your item has reached the destination country and is currently with the custom or at the sort facility.
So you shouldn’t get so excited when you see such on your tracking number thinking that very soon you will receive your item, that isn’t the case as it still has a long way to go.

After received by the delivery company what follows next?
After received by the delivery company, what follows next will be your item being moved to the custom duty or office of inward exchange and after which it will be forwarded to the final destination.
Depending on how fast the custom duty are you will receive your item in time. However, if they are slow then it may take up to a month to receive your item though there are many factors involved.
Factors that delays delivery in online shopping
Below are the major causes or factors that delays delivery in online shopping and this applied to any online stores.
CUSTOM DUTY: Custom clearance shouldn’t take more than two days though it all depends on country’s custom duty and how fast or slow they are. Aliexpress standard shipping, DHL, ARAMEX, EMS are quite very fast but that fast shipping might be hindered by slow and sluggish custom clearance.
If you are buying an item online and within your location or country, you won’t come across custom duty or office of inward exchange. But if the item is coming from another country then surely it will be checked by the customs before it gets dispatched to the recipient location.
RECIPIENT LOCATION: Location is another factor that plays a major role on how fast or slow you will receive your parcel or aliexpress item. If you happen to live in a remote environment where it is quite difficult to access, dhl might drop your parcel with the local post office to have deliver to you.
BAD WEATHER CONDITION: Bad weather can cause a delay in delivering an item to a recipient especially during winter from what I have observed. During that period you will see delivery personnel come up with bunches of excuses as to why they are yet to deliver your item, at the end you might be required to go to the nearest local post office to pickup your item.
How long after received by the delivery company
From my observation it usually takes between two weeks to one month to receive your item after seeing received by the delivery company on your tracking number using the aliexpress app.
It seems the delay is usually caused by the custom duty or the workers at the sorting center.
Does delivered mean received?
In shipping, when it showered delivered it simply means the recipient has received the item or package as the delivery personnel has successfully delivered the item.
So once you saw delivered on your tracking number, you should know that the item has been delivered. In some rare cases a tracking number might show delivered but in the reality the recipient haven’t received the item.
This is caused when a delivery personnel mistakenly scan an item delivered whilst the item is yet to be delivered. If you happen to see such don’t hesitate to contact the delivery service or the merchant to correct the mistake else you may end up not receiving your item and also not getting a refund.
Who delivers aliexpress packages?
Post office or the delivery company do deliver aliexpress packages. If you use dhl as your shipping method then dhl will be the one to deliver your aliexpress package and same goes to any other logistics.
However, speedaf do deliver aliexpress standard shipping though it depends on the recipient country.
Any shipping logistics you used for aliexpress shipping, they will be the one to deliver your aliexpress package especially for premium delivery service or company.
Before I go, received by the delivery company means an item or package has been delivered to the delivery company which will deliver the package to the recipient.
