On Android
On android, there is no need asking how to go back to previous video in YouTube app as long as you have the navigation buttons on your screen. All you need to do is to tap on the back button and it will take you back to the previous page or video.
Where people get confused is on iphone where there’s no back button making it look quite difficult to navigate through or going back to previous video or page on YouTube app.
On iphone, there’s no back button in YouTube app as you only need to swipe down from the top in order to go back to the previous video or page.
While on android you will find a back once you enabled the navigation button on your android phone.
To set navigation buttons on android, open the settings app, scroll down to display and open it.
You will see where it states navigation bar, kindly tap on navigation bar link and right you will find two options which includes;
- Navigation buttons
- Full screen gesture
You will have to select navigation buttons and this will make it lot easier for you to navigate on your mobile phone and go back to previous video in YouTube app compared to when you select full screen gestures.
Please note that there’s no menu button on YouTube for iPhone just like it is on android and thanks to the availability of the navigation buttons features on all android phones and tablets.
How do I find my history on YouTube?
To find history on YouTube, kindly open the YouTube app or the url and below your screen you will see library, tap on the library and you will see YouTube history which includes all the YouTube videos you have watched so far.

- Tap on library and you will see history
- Tap on history and it will open your YouTube history.
